Wednesday, January 20, 2010 - Patrick Wardell
Happy New Year everybody! Okay, we're a little bit late, but welcome to the 2010 nonetheless. As a new year's gift from Moostache to you we're giving away a free song entitled Downfall to all those who sign up for the brand new Moostache Messenger. Join the Messenger to keep up with the latest Moostache news and shows, and to gain access to more exclusive downloads in the very near future!

Speaking of shows, this Friday we have a very special show in Berkeley with out friends Blackstone Heist and local singer/songwriter Bhi Bhiman. Then next week, we close out the month with a free Acoustache show at Blue Laguna! If you haven't downloaded Acoustache Volume One yet, then you need to put that on your list of new year's resolutions. The six-song EP is pay-what-you-can, and all the funds go towards recording our next full length album. We greatly appreciate any help you can give us.

Happy New Year everyone! Good talking to you!

Have you downloaded Acoustache yet?

No, you’re not a having a fever dream, this actually is a Moostache update. Anyone out there like sushi? I happen to think it’s delicious, and we’ll be announcing a free all ages show at my favorite sushi spot in the coming weeks. We just played a great gig at the Silverlake Lounge opening for our friends Mississippi Man for their month-long residency, and as always they brought the heat.

Speaking of bringing the heat, how about Garrett coming through with the new site design, eh? Next time you see him, buy him a drink or pat him on the back or something. And in case you missed it - Acoustache, Volume One is out now! This six-song all-acoustic EP is pay-what-you-want, so there's no moral obligation to pay... but there is a pretty good chance you'll feel guilty for the rest of your life if you steal it. And if this is your first Moostache encounter, make sure to sample our sound below. As always, we have new songs in the works which we’ll be trying out at upcoming shows. If you like them, it’s probably because you just like how the bass player looks... stop doing that. More shows and general goodness to be announce soon!

Acoustic EP Out Next Week!

Wednesday, September 30, 2009 - Sean Wardell
Hey everybody, sorry for the big gap in updates. Everything’s been really busy lately with most of us taking classes and getting back to work after the tour. We’re finishing up work on a brand new acoustic EP aptly titled Acoustache, Volume 1. The album will be released right here on our site next Tuesday, October 6th and will be pay-what-you-want! We’ll have a release party over at Blue Laguna in Laguna Beach two days later on the 8th which I’m really looking forward too.

Other than that, the tour went great. We met a lot of really cool people who were more than accommodating; it takes a generous person to put up a bunch of scraggly dudes coming out of a van. Admit you were at least a little impressed with my use of the semicolon right there. Anyway, we got a lot of photos and video footage from the tour which we’re in the process of organizing. My contribution to the organizing effort so far has been to ask friend/photographer Chris Vo to see some of the photos he took of the beautiful California coast up in Humboldt County. Needless to say, both the Humboldt coast and my truly incredible work ethic and drive to get that stuff out are awe inspiring.

But before I get too ahead of myself, we played a really fun show this past Saturday at The Glass House in Pomona supporting Portugal. the Man, Drug Rug, and Robert Francis. A ton of our friends came out from Huntington Beach, and everyone had an awesome time. We’ll be back returning to The Glass House on October 29th opening for Art Brut with our friends Parade of Lights.

That’s all I’ve got for now! I know I covered a large portion of time in just one long post. I promise to make all my posts in the future more manageable if you’ll tolerate it just this once. Hope everyone is having the best Wednesday of their lives, see you all on October 8th!

We're currently on the road for our first tour in support of our debut album “The Body Disagrees.” The album is available on iTunes and at any of our upcoming shows. We're opening for Blackstone Heist at the Rockit Room in San Francisco tonight! Check out the Gigs page for more show info.

There may still be a few kinks to work out with the new site, so if you encounter any bugs (particularly in IE) let us know!
